    Finca Santa Lucia {O} - Ricardo A. Perez Barrantes

    Santa Lucía coffee farm has participated in all the COE events of Costa Rica since 2007. It is an organic farm, certified by Control Union under the NOP, EU and JAS standards, and we are also certified carbon neutral. The farm produces bananas, lemons and avocados besides coffee.

    Located at 1700 meters above sea level, the average Celsius temperature is 22º and the rainfall 2500 mm. The farm produces Caturra, Villalobos, Typica and Catuaí and are also making its way into the Geisha and Bourbon varieties.

We roast this bean to City Plus and bring out layers of spicy cinnamon notes and some coconut sweetness and blueberry hints in a creamy cup, This a unique and complex coffee that will reveal one layer after another as it cools.

    Varietals: Bourbon, SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11. This coffee is sourced from family owned farms located on the southeastern slopes of the Aberdares mountain ranges in Nyeri County, Kenya. Farmers deliver their harvested cherry to be processed at the Chinga Factory (wet mill), which is managed by the Othaya Farmers Co-operative Society. Cooperative members generally cultivate around 250 coffee trees on half-acre plots inter-cropped with Bananas, Grevillea, and Macadamia trees. This coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds This is a fully washed classic Kenyan, full bodied with lemon acidity and brown sugar sweetness. Expect some nuttiness, blackcurrant, umami, salted caramel and vanilla honey.

He has been involved with coffee before the Worka coop was formed, and had been working with coffee 10 years prior to its inception, transporting coffee to Yirgacheffe town with horses. He was selected as a model farmer by the Worka coop in 2014. This is a dry processed on raised beds and certified organic. This is a very complex coffee, a stunning natural Ethiopian. Daniel Miju lot brings plenty of tropical fruitiness and a solid tartness to match. On a more classic note, there’s a pervasive raspberry flavor that comes through clearly. Interestingly, herbal characteristics also come through loud and clear. Fragrance of lime zest, Aroma of honey with citric acidity. Smooth, silky body with very sweet finish and aftertaste

    This coffee comes from the village, of Chelchele, in the district, of Kochere, in the Yirgacheffe region. Chelchele coffees tend to have a nice backbone of sweetness from toffee and/or soft nuts like almond, with a floral and citrus overone. You will note a smooth cup with floral notes of jasmine plus cherry, and chocolate. The coffee was grown above 1800 meters and was processed in the natural method using raised beds.
