Farmers deliver their harvested cherry to be processed at the Chinga Factory (wet mill), which is managed by the Othaya Farmers Co-operative Society. Cooperative members generally cultivate around 250 coffee trees on half-acre plots inter-cropped with Bananas, Grevillea, and Macadamia trees. This coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds This is a fully washed classic Kenyan, full bodied with lemon acidity and brown sugar sweetness. Expect some nuttiness, blackcurrant, umami, salted caramel and vanilla honey.

    This is a stunning floral and spicy coffee with distinct lavendar aroma. This natural process coffee is collected from local farmers and brought to the Guji Mill for processing; it is sometimes offered as "Ardi". This is a natural, unwashed coffee meaning that ripe cherries, after harvesting, are left to sun dry on raised beds and no washing nor fermentation is employed. The mill, owned by Girma Edema, is located in the Guji area of the Sidamo zone. After being picked by hand it is dried on a raised bed in the sun for three weeks. During this process sorting the under-ripe cherry is continued by skillful workers. The extra measures taken in sorting make a big difference in roasting and final cup quality.

    Located at 1700 meters above sea level, the average Celsius temperature is 22º and the rainfall 2500 mm. The farm produces Caturra, Villalobos, Typica and Catuaí and are also making its way into the Geisha and Bourbon varieties.

He has been involved with coffee before the Worka coop was formed, and had been working with coffee 10 years prior to its inception, transporting coffee to Yirgacheffe town with horses. He was selected as a model farmer by the Worka coop in 2014. This is a dry processed on raised beds and certified organic. This is a very complex coffee, a stunning natural Ethiopian. Daniel Miju lot brings plenty of tropical fruitiness and a solid tartness to match. On a more classic note, there’s a pervasive raspberry flavor that comes through clearly.
